Cards Speak Cards Speak, also referred to as Cards Speak for Themselves or Cards Show, is a third method of determining the showdown at High-Low Poker. In this version of High-Low showdown, players do not declare their intentions—they simply lay down their hands and the best high- and the best low-ranking hands split the pot.

This form of High-Low Poker is the showdown version of the game that's played in the public Poker rooms in the Nevada casinos, where it is known as High-Low Split. The main reason why High-Low is played without a showdown declaration in Nevada casinos and in many private and commercial Poker clubs throughout the country is that it would be difficult for the game dealers to keep track of each player's declaration and settle arguments arising from such declarations. Furthermore, partner collusion and cheating is more prevalent in a High-Low game with showdown declarations than in Cards Speak.
