So that the reader can see at a glance the comparison of Low hands to the closest equivalent hands found in standard Poker, here they are, for the first time in print, placed together in the following table. Rank 1 is the highest-ranking Low and standard Poker hand. Rank 10 is the lowest-ranking Low and standard Poker hand.
As mentioned earlier, the above table reflects an approximate equivalent of low-rank Poker hands to those of standard Poker. However, it provides an invaluable comparison for the Low or High-Low Poker player to help him determine the importance of each five-card Low hand. X's shown above represent all possible cards of lower value than the cards that precede the X's in the low-rank hands shown above.
