A player should not enter a game with a short pocket bankroll (insufficient money to play an aggressive game). Should he do so, he will be gambling with what is known among professional gamblers as "scared" money, and playing under such conditions he can't possibly play his best. Scared money also means the lack of betting courage, which has been covered earlier. Scared money doesn't afford a player too many opportunities to play in big-money pots to the showdown. In addition, a player with a short bankroll is a target for bluffers and ante stealers.
