The pack should be kept in view as much as possible, and the right forefinger is curled up on top for that purpose until the instant the palm is performed.

Mr. Erdnase appends three diagrams, but they do not appear to me to add much to his printed instructions, which, if closely followed with the cards in hand an essential in all such cases, seem fairly clear. Reference to these diagrams has been made by the present editor.
