dead hand: A poker hand that has been fouled and can no longer win the pot. (2) Receiving another card from the dealer. (3) A poker hand needing additional cards to improve. drawing dead: Drawing to a hand already beaten by an opponent’s higher ranked hand. Drawing for a Flush when your opponent already has a Full House.
expectation: The amount of money one can expect to win, or loose, flop: The three cards exposed by the dealer when playing Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Crazy Pineapple, etc.
