Miscalling a Hand A player cannot overcall his hand. (If his opponent throws his hand away when the player says, "Kings up," the player must produce kings up or better. Otherwise his opponent wins.) This rule doesn't apply until the last person has acted after the draw. Before that, overcalling a hand is just "table talk."
Discard Before Drawing
Discard Before Drawing In any form of Draw Poker, before receiving cards the player must discard the same number of cards he is drawing, insuring that his hand consists of five cards at all times.
