After receiving pocket cards, you are immediately faced with a choice: play your cards and either raise or call the blinds, or fold.

RANK 10 High Card:
RANK 10 High Card: a hand which contains five indifferent cards not of the same suit, not in sequence, and falling into none of the above combi- nations (A-10-7-5-3 not of the same suit). The example cited would be called an ace high hand. If the highest card of two such hands is the same, the next highest card determines the winner; if these tie, the determinant is the next, then the next, etc. If all cards in more than one hand are of matching value, the hands tie, and the pot is divided.
Wild Cards
Wild Cards By mutual prior agreement (and often!) certain cards are designated as being wild. The wild card can be used to represent any card of any suit and any denomination, even as a duplicate of a card already held by the player. Here are some wild-card combinations.
