62. Seven Card High-Low Split (Cards Speak) This version of High-Low Split is popular in our Western states, especially in Nevada's legalized Poker rooms, where it is the only high-low form of Poker played. The rules for Seven Card High-Low Stud Poker Declare apply with the following exceptions. 1. The game is played without a declaration prior to the showdown. The principal reason why the game is played without a declaration in Nevada's Poker rooms is that it is next to impossible for the Poker-room personnel to protect the game against cheating partners who specialize in signaling each other how to declare prior to the showdown. Also, the game is very difficult for the dealer to recall who declared high, low or both, thereby leading to continuous arguments. 2. In order to force the betting, on the first round the high upcard must bet first. Thereafter the low card is considered high and must act first (bet or check) in the four succeeding betting rounds. 3. Whenever there are more than two active players competing, there is a limit of one bet and three raises on each betting round. The three-raise limit is to prevent cheating partners from whipsawing other players.
