Gin Poker
Gin Poker This game is known in Georgia as Get You One. It's a combination of Gin Rummy and Poker played by two players. The object of the game is to form a complete five-card Poker hand such as a royal flush, straight flush, four of a kind, full house, flush or straight.

After each player has been dealt five cards, the remainder of the deck is placed in the center of the table face down. This is the stock. The non-dealer makes the first play. He picks a card from the stock, making six cards in his hand. He next discards a card face up on the table, adjacent to the stock, forming a discard pile as in Gin Rummy. Thereafter each player in turn has the option of taking a card from the top of the stock or from the top of the discard pile, followed by a one-card discard. When a player announces, "Gin Poker," meaning he has a pat hand, he discards, and his opponent has an opportunity for one more pick from the stock or the discard pile. On the showdown, the best Poker hand wins the agreed-upon wager.
