Each dealt round of hands in High Back to Low Draw Poker is either played as standard Draw Poker or California Lowball Ace to Five. Each dealt round begins play as standard Draw Poker (Jacks or Better). If no one opens with jacks or better, instead of anteing and reshuffling and redealing a new hand, the same hands are played as in California Lowball Ace to Five. The leader (player to the left of the dealer) must now open blind for low. The remaining players must either call, raise or drop out. If no one calls or raises, the leader collects the pot, then a new deal is dealt as in standard Draw Poker, and the round of play continues as described above.
If you've read and studied this book this far you should be pretty well equipped to play this game.
