Penny to 5 cents, 5 to 10 cents, 25 to 50 cents, $1 to $2, $2 to $4, $5 to $10, etc. Only two amounts are specified, the minimum and the maximum permitted; which means that at a player's turn of play he must conform with one of the following rules: (a) A player cannot bet an amount less than the minimum limit. (b) A player cannot bet an amount larger than the maximum limit. (c) A player may bet any amount between both limits. (d) The ante is usually 20% to 25% of the minimum bet, except in penny ante, and 5 to 10 cents limit where the ante usually equals the minimum bet.
