After receiving pocket cards, you are immediately faced with a choice: play your cards and either raise or call the blinds, or fold.

Now press the upper packet against the left thumb and

The upper packet should not fall into the left hand.

The left thumb never leaves its position against the side of the upper packet, and the tip should be held sufficiently above it to receive the lower packet as it is brought on top. The left little finger is not inserted between the two packets, but merely holds the break.
